Jim Speck is outstanding at cutting hair. I tried this place out because of groupon, but called back a couple months later to inquire about the price of a mens haircut and was told $50. Unfortunately, $50 for a mens haircut with short hair to begin with is a bit too rich for me.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND ***JACKIE*** because she is my go to stylist at Utopia since moving to Denver a year ago. Jackie, You are smart, an expert and an authority in the field of hairstyling & color! Your knowledge & finding a balance between my needs and my wants not only were met but my expectations have ALWAYS been EXCEEDED! I love that you ask questions, ask for examples which is proof that you want your client (s) to be happy when they leave your chair. I have only known for you to provide the best possible service, experience, advice & solution. I am & have been beyond ECSTATIC with your work - very talented so much so that itâs as if you wield a magic wand because I walk out of Utopia feeling magically transformed! You have a gift & I am so grateful that I found you when I moved to Denver! I love my new hair color, cut/style because thereâs such depth/texture/definition in my new cut & color. I truly admire & appreciate everything you bring with you which includes but not limited too: color (depth as well) the cut (the texture, length & style. I truly admire & appreciate your patience, passion, professionalism & communication - of course letâs not forget that youâre a very talented magician of sorts ðªðð¼ââï¸ðThanks again! Iâd give way more then 5 stars if I could because JACKIE IS AMAZING!\n\nGrateful & happy, Sam
Thought it was too good to be true to be true when I stumbled across âfull highlight and cut for $109 with Stevieâ\nI was correct. Stylist never showed and after waiting 30 min I left.\nHowever while I was waiting I decided to check the reviews and after what I read about Stevieâs services Iâm thinking maybe I got lucky and dodged a bullet ? Lol
Great color and cut with Jackie. Sheâs amazing!
If I could give this negative stars I would. AVOID THIS PLACE AND STEVIE LIKE THE PLAGUE. I went in to get some blonde highlights from an all natural brown hair so shouldve been pretty easy and has always been easy for me in the past. Just to give you a timeline of my experience -\n\nFirst, he forgot my appointment entirely and had a date planned so his date showed up mid-service and he was completely distracted while my hair was setting. His hands also smelled like cigarette smoke completely. By the time he blow dried my hair, it was coppery with bright blonde MONEY PIECES. I never asked for money pieces. He obviously had to leave and apologized and asked me to come again so he could fix it. I even tipped him $50 because I trusted hed do a better job the second time. He told me to buy purple shampoo and use that between then and the next appointment. It completely turned my hair a silver purple color and I looked like a zoo animal at this point.\n\nTHEN I decided to go back because he promised hed fix it for free. 4 hours later, I still hated it at (it barely looked any different at this point) and made sure to let him know it wasnt much better and my hair still looked and felt terrible. Oh also he then charged me $25 for a blow dry LOL.\n\nI then decided to cut my losses and go to a color specialist at this point. She took before and after pictures and said that Stevie not only did a terrible job with color but actually did some severe damage to my hair with whatever products he decided to use. My highlights made me look like my roots were tiger striped. So $700 and 2 sessions later my hair is a LITTLE closer to what I originally wanted. I still have to go back one more time to tone.\n\nIve texted Stevie multiple times now to ask for a refund with ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE. At least own up to your work. So unprofessional. So rude.\n\nSave yourself the time and money and avoid Stevie and this place like the plague.\n\nPICTURES BELOW.\n1. What I wanted done originally (reminder that my hair was a solid light brown with minimal grown out blonde balayage)\n2. After purple shampoo\n3. Next day after purple shampoo (dont mind my face and dog lol)\n4 & 5. Before pictures taken by my color specialist.\n6. After first fix with her. She had to go back brown first because of the damage.\n7. 2nd session results.
