It was to the point that I considered pulling a Britney (Spears, as in shaving it off), when my teenage daughter recommended that I try getting it styled by Meg at Luna Hair Studio and Spa. I walked in with pages of short, colored hairstyles that I thought might work. Before we did anything, Meg sat me down and talked about why I didnt like my hair right now and why I thought cutting it all off might work for me. She suggested that I consider something totally different. She explained why my ideas would not make me happy and what might make me call a truce with my tresses.\n\nOne wonderful appointment later, and for the first time in my life, I had highlights and a wonderful new hairstyle that would be versatile and flattering. Instead of my usual stressed out feeling every time I saw a new hairdresser, I felt confident and relaxed. And, most importantly, I LOVE my hair! I have lost track of the number of people to whom my daughter and I have recommended Meg.\n\nGet your hair done by Meg at Luna!! My 14 year old daughter and her friend went to get their nails done (and before you naysayers get on me for allowing them to go alone, I am doing my best to teach her independence by allowing her to do certain things on My 14 year old daughter and her friend went to get their nails done (and before you naysayers get on me for allowing them to go alone, I am doing my best to teach her independence by allowing her to do certain things on her own) and it turns out that they charged the girls $50 for a set of acrylics and gel polish. They said that they informed the girls of all costs involved and told them to call their parents, however, both girls stated that they were not informed of additional charges and at no point did anyone tell them to check with their parents. I went into discuss this with the woman in the salon and she basically called the kids liars which made me really angry. The more upset I became the less English either of the women seemed to understand. They refused to refund us any money at all. Not only did they overcharge them both, but my daughters fingers ended up looking like chop meat because they burned several of her fingers with the dremel tool and cracked one of her own nails. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!! I informed them that I was going to tell everyone I know to stay away from this place. I dont often complain but when someone injures my child and then proceeds to rip them off without any sort of remorse, I just cant sit back and remain quiet. There are several other good nail salons in the area...I would recommend you avoid this place at all costs more ... less ...

My friend and I went there yesterday to get a fill. Not only was I charged $60 for a FILL, but my nails were absolutely horrible. Along with my friends, nail polish was all over my skin, I don’t even know what shape half of my nails are, because I definitely asked for more of a square shape after he told me “no because that would look funny”, I can’t even tell you what design this is on my nails. And on top of all that, they did my fill so quickly that I already have 3 chipped nails and it hasn’t even been 24 hours. Literally the worst place I have ever been to, and I’ve been getting my nails done for 10 years. So will never be going here again. more ... less ...
