On 9/10/21, I took my daughter to this establishment for a mommy daughter mani pedi day. The nail tech that took care of my daughter was extremely nice and gentle with her. I unfortunately did not have the same experienc On 9/10/21, I took my daughter to this establishment for a mommy daughter mani pedi day. The nail tech that took care of my daughter was extremely nice and gentle with her. I unfortunately did not have the same experience. The nail tech kept nicking my cuticle beds and after repeatedly asking her to please be careful and letting her know that she was hurting me, I got up to rinse my hands and my cuticle beds were bleeding. I asked her if she had antiseptic to place on my nail beds and she attempted to pour pure alcohol on them. I did not allow this and ended the service. I left with my nails undone, and my fingers hurting so badly I could barely grip my steering wheel to drive the 5 minutes it takes me to get home. I used antiseptic once I got home and took 2 500mg Tylenol extra strength pills to try and alleviate the pain. After paying 117.99 to be left with pain, and an incomplete service was the utmost slap in the face. I have definitely filed a complaint with the consumer protection agency here in Connecticut, and I’m praying this pain stops or else I will have to go to the doctor for help. But after my experience today I am left with no choice. I have been going to Vivi nails for almost four years. And every time I go, there’s one particular nail artist who is just plain awful. Her name is Hung, she has the worst attitude that I’ve ever experienced in a young woman. She’s always nasty towards me and I avoid getting her at all cost, but when I’m busy I take who I can get.\n\nShe pushes, shoves and slaps my hand in rage. I felt very very disrespected, because I treat everyone there with respect. I also always leave very good tips. $15-20 every time on a $55 service.\n\nI have seen how she interacts with people of other ethnicities and the other staff included. The experience there today was one that I will no longer tolerate and I’ll put my money in the hands of businesses who are deserving. When trying to complain, everyone pretends as though they don’t understand English. Which I know they very well do. It’s time that these small nail shops buckle-up on their customer service.\n\nI plan to take this further and file a complaint. Because my money is as good as anyone else’s. I will be boycotting this janky place. And these women who treat black women poorly. And I don’t use those words lightly.\n\nHighly disappointed! But not surprised. more ... less ...
