I called Tiffany Spa 2 and made an appointment to get eyelash extensions. I was not able to make it to my appointment, and Tiffany Spa 2 texted me and gave me a different time to accommodate my schedule. It took about an hour to get the extensions done. Dana was the person who did my extensions . She did an amazing job!! I got the natural look I asked for. I was so excited to try this place, as they have a perfect rating and 5 stars across the board according to all their reviewers. Unfortunately, the gel manicure was disappointing. Unfortunately, the gel manicure was disappointing. She barely trimmed my cuticles, filed my nails way too square and couldn’t accommodate me when I asked her to round the edges out a bit. She got polish on my cuticles (which now means my gel will peel prematurely) yet certain parts of my nail bed weren’t completely covered. Also, the polish wasn’t evenly applied. Yikes. See photos attached.\n\nPS. I have double state licensure in nail technology (PA and CT) and have been in this profession for 10 years. A sloppy gel manicure like this is worth $20 at most, not $35. Please charge accordingly, because if the gel manicures are priced at $35 then I’m expecting a great manicure. Obviously that wasn’t the case. more ... less ...

I went in for an acrylic manicure, the first thing I encountered was the owner telling me I should go elsewhere, that I couldn’t afford them (I am from Puerto Rico). I showed them my credit card and said, “Yes I went in for an acrylic manicure, the first thing I encountered was the owner telling me I should go elsewhere, that I couldn’t afford them (I am from Puerto Rico). I showed them my credit card and said, “Yes, I can afford them, I’m 18 and I work!” I got the manicure and was charged $153.00! In Waterbury the cost is $35.00. Needless to say I did not leave a tip, and the owner said “You’re not leaving a tip?” For the way I was treated, I refused to leave a tip and of course I’ll never go back.
