horrible business. i came here with my grandmother after finishing her chemo to cheer her up. as soon as we entered they made comments about her pale skin as if she wasn’t already feeling bad enough. after choosing horrible business. i came here with my grandmother after finishing her chemo to cheer her up. as soon as we entered they made comments about her pale skin as if she wasn’t already feeling bad enough. after choosing a color for her manicure she was told that it didn’t “compliment her skin” not only did that happen but for her pedicure she was essentially man handled and her feet were thrown into scorching hot water. on top of this, they were saying rancid things about her in their language (i studied a bit of mandarin in school). all of this for an overpriced spa trip that was supposed to be a fun happy day. honestly 0/10, would NOT recommend more ... less ...

We love the wood floors and the style of the apartment, we were looking for unique and we both feel that this place fits that requirement. Laundry is free here! I used to have to go to my parents to do laundry because we didnt want to pay the $4 per load price at our last apartment. Every tenant gets 1 dedicated carport spot thats assigned by apartment number. You do have to park in the street if you have more than one car, but its free and there is always space out front so you never have to walk far. One of the things we really like is that the building has a locked front door and back door, and the mailboxes are right by the front door. The location is great too! You are close to everything, Frandor, Downtown East Lansing, even the meridian mall are all practically a stone throw away. If you do live here, definitely take advantage of LightSpeed Communications fiber optic internet, cheaper than Comcast, way faster speeds.\n\nWhen we first moved in, we had a problem with our dishwasher, and a few days later a breaker blew that caused the light switches to stop working. The same day we notified the apartment office about our dishwasher, maintenance stopped by a few hours after the call and had it working within an hour. For the breaker, maintenance came the same day and they told us that a contractor would need to be called in, the contractor came about 4 days later. Thats great turnaround compared to what we have been used to and we appreciate it!\n\nOverall I feel completely content giving Kimberly House apartments a 5 star rating, its a great place to live and we look forward to staying here a long time. more ... less ...

Horrible. They up charge you. Got a refill and asked how much it would be, David told me $56. I didn’t even get a design or a full set, just a clear coat. The first time, she made them too thin, the second time she waxed the front part of one way too far back. Every single time I go in there for nails I get cut. Not joking. The first time David did it and I yanked my hand back due to the pain. He cut me with the tool that’s used to shave down the acrylic and laughed about it to himself after. I looked up and apologized even though he CUT me. The second time one of the ladies whom name I don’t know, was using the nail file and looked away while filing super hard, she ended up cutting the side of my pointer finger. I was bleeding a lot and it stung for days. I could’ve got an infection like that’s so dirty. Last, I went to get another refill and was cut yet again by one of the tools used for refills. It’s every single time and if I’m going to pay you guys more than half of $100 then can I get service with out blood and pain please ???? Also they talk about customers in their language. I frequent this location for over 5 years and today as sometime often my 8 year old came with me and they always soak his feet while he waits. Today one of the owners decided to tell me that he using up their water and their electricity so they were charging him $15.00. A pedicure is $25.00 so just complete a full pedicure why are you charging my child $15.00 for soaking in the same dirty water. You are already using your water and electricity because your open for business regardless of whether we there or not - it became a confrontation and I advised I would do a review and this owner said she didn’t care , so I offered to have my entire congregation do the same if she didn’t just let it go, so I told my regular nail tech Irma unfortunately I can no longer after over 5 years be a patron of this establishment who taxes children for soaking in dirty water but not completing any service whatsoever. I had to suggest why not just do a pedicure but instead she wanted to argue with me so I just paid the $15.00 extra where my total was $175.00 and bid them farewell .. clearly loyalty is not their motto, we are just dollars and cents to them .. so IM DONE!! The owners wife was being rude and saying things about us out loud. They close at 6:30!! there were no other customers there except us and no one walked in until we left. She then proceeded to do a messy horrible manicure while i was getting my pedicure so i was sitting awkwardly to one side! so uncomfortable! i had one of the other girls fix the manicure for me and it still looks horrible… I brought this up to the owner and he acted like he didnt know what happened… didnt even apologize. You have 4 nail techs working there… there was no reason for her to rush my manicure and do a horrible job! even the pedicure was rushed which was done by another tech. The whole experience was so awkward and after we were all done the employees were just sitting around talking!! Why rush then? never coming back… She didnt even cut the cuticles (i asked the other tech to do it once she was done with my friend and it looked a little better). All the coats of nail polish in an effort to fix what she did made it worse! more ... less ...

I called for two appointments, they only planned for one. Pedicure felt rushed, not as good as I have had there previously. However, the biggest disappointment was watching the level of service directed at other caucasian clients. We are all spending our hard earned $.
