3 stars and this is just based on my experience with the lady that provided this service. 1. Horrible job on my cuticles. 2. I’m still speechless on the paint job. I went back to ask a question on how to remove this gel polish quick and they scattered and the lady in the front was practically stunned and kinda didn’t know what to respond so I asked if acetone would work and she said yeah. My daughter got her nails done and they’re absolutely perfect and beautiful. Hence why 3 stars and not one. This is based on my experience today with that specific lady. I wish I got her name. But I didn’t. I’ve never left a review before online. I was just so thrown off by the fact that they didn’t even offer to redo them or anything. Also my daughter is 12 and their price list says “12 and under” is a certain price and they charged for hers as an adult. Then try to tell me that oh yeah 12 and up is adult price, like what? Then your list should say “11 and under”. I guess is on me for giving a new place a chance. more ... less ...

Dont waste your time with this business the owner is rude and they dont uphold their work. When I called them to ask if they would fix it I was told she should not come back they wont do her nails again.. They just lost a customer thats been coming there for years because they are not child friendly and would not fix the childs nail Polish. Great business. more ... less ...

Tantza is truly the best in town. She is very knowledgeable, works very hard and her work is spectacular. I used to joke w/ my mom about the fact that she is like a doctor, the way she examines your feet and works like a Tantza is truly the best in town. She has been in business for years and years in W. Hartford. She is a lovely woman, too. I cannot say enough about her as a person and as a mani/pedi-ist. If you need more confirmation, call any of the country clubs in town-speak to any of the men and women who get their feet pedicured...or hands manicured... everybody goes to her. Kimmy is very good at her job and very sweet. The lady with the glasses took the front part of my eyebrow off after specifically saying to just clean them up . My eyebrows arent thick or hard to do. Came in for a nail repair and initial nail tech decided to help. Nail was lifting after 1 week. I asked for her to either remove nail or to remove the lifting acrylic. She got mad and shut down her station and decided she wasnt doing my nail. Another nail tech was free she decided to go on and finish someones elses nail instead of doing mines. All I came in for was to get 1 nail repair. I watch as everyone else when on to perform full service on other customers while I wait. I felt as though I was being punish because I voiced my concerns about the poor job the nail tech started to perform on my nail. Another nail tech mentioned that it would be 45 minutes and she wasnt sure if she wanted me to wait so long. Instead of making a difference with customer service. I felt as if they were purposely making me wait a long time because I voiced my concerns. After about 30 minutes another nail tech by the name of Ah Lin was very nice enough and did the repair. After the service was rendered the two nail tech told her to charge me $10 for the repair. I was prepared to pay regardless and had no issues with the charge. By the time I got to the cash register to pay, they tried to charge me a whopping $17. Which I refused to pay. After my refusal to pay $17 foe the service, considering, witnessing the sobotage in front of my eyes. Theyd quickly decided to come to an agreement to charge me $10 instead. This was an absolute disappointment experience. I have been going to Pro nails for many years and has always considered them to be one of the best in West Hartford. As a matter of fact the owner Vicky is super sweet and always go above and beyond to please her customers. However, I dont really know what kind of day this was for these rude individuals but this service was unsatiafactory, very unprofessional and untruthful. This kind of service just ruined a really good business relationship and recommendation towards the business. I hope this kind of service can be change to a very prosperous one. Just moved back into town and seeking a good place for a pedicure. Heres how it went(all 20 minutes of it). Cut my nails and pushed my cuticles back, literally dipped my foot in water and drained it. I kid you not she rubbed the hot stone up and down each leg once, towel dried my legs and feet and handed me my shoes. I voiced a complaint and they pretended not to understand english, just gave me a strange look. I basically paid $32 to get my nails cut. No beverage offered and nothing that was on the sign describing the pedicure was done. This is the location on Farmington ave. DONT GO HERE..........I am so angry because I only get my feet done every 5-6 weeks and I usually look forward to it. more ... less ...

My review is mixed. I had been going to the same day spa since 2005, on and off, but a gift card offered me the opportunity to try out Silk Nails. The first two times my manicure lasted over a week. The third and fourth My review is mixed. I had been going to the same day spa since 2005, on and off, but a gift card offered me the opportunity to try out Silk Nails. The first two times my manicure lasted over a week. The third and fourth times the manicure lasted barely three days. It really depends, I think, who is doing the manicure. I had the same technician during my first two manicure visits, and different technicians during the third and fourth manicure visits. My pedicure was nice. I enjoyed the stone massage and the heel treatment. However, they charged me more at Silk Nails for a spa pedicure than the day spa I normally frequent. Interesting. Anyway, I thought that Silk Nails would become my \"go-to\" place for nails, but, due to the poor quality of the third and fourth manicures, it will not. The salon is large, and clean, with many technicians, and very flexible scheduling. I was treated with courtesy and professionalism during each visit, from the moment I entered to the moment I departed. Phone interactions were also professional and courteous. The neck and back massages at the end of the manicure or pedicure are a nice treat, and the four technicians that served me all perform wonderful hand, neck and foot massages. There is a large selection of nail colors - mostly OPI - but the products they use as base and top coats may need to be upgraded in order to create longer-lasting durability for the manicure. The technicians seem to operate on piecework, as the manicure is completed in less than 30 minutes. They dont believe in a lot of filing down of the nails. In fact, one technician on my third visit asked if I wanted my nails cut down. I told her no, just file them down. They dont really clean underneath the nail very well to remove the cuticle build-up, and they dont do a thorough job of removing calluses during pedicures. All of this to say: This is a great place to go if one wants a quick manicure for a special event, as the cost for a basic manicure is currently $13.00. As a go-go regular nail salon? No, at least not for me. I am now back at my former day spa, and, my nails - hands and feet - look and feel the way they should. more ... less ...
