Katelyn was very sweet and understanding to the type of hairstyle I was looking for, and she did not disappoint. She cut my hair to exactly how I wanted it and gave me amazing recommendations on different ways to style my hair to my liking. Now, I will not let anyone else cut my hair besides Katelyn at Fringe! I understand being upset about a client not showing up but I felt as though the tech lashed out on me because her client didn’t show. I ended up walking out and paying during the massage part of the pedicure because she didn’t put in any effort and the foot massage was the main reason I went. Also, my nails were cut uneven. I was pregnant at the time and all I wanted was a relaxing day off but instead, it was so stressful because I couldn’t get over how badly I was treated in this salon. The ratings and reviews are awesome and I gotta say that after stopping in and getting my nails done, they were spot on! Lisa was my tech and did an amazing job! She is kind and pays attention to detail. I let her know that my wrist do not bend due to RA and she was careful with me. The technician applied pressure on the nail that she knew she hurt and made a face like she was sorry. She then continued and it wasn’t as bad, but she hit my skin with the e-file a few times and it cut my cuticle. Some polish was still on when she “finished” and my nails were rough, uneven, and misshaped. I didn’t want to stay there any longer, so I purchased a file and buffer/polish nail tool from the nearby Winn-Dixie to fix them myself. Lady did a terrible job at doing my nails! At first I requested gel nails which for some reason always confuses workers at nail salons according to my experiences. Gel nails are not done with powder and Im not referring to gel polish!\n\nAs she is communicating with the other lady in their language, she finally goes and pulls out a container with this substance that appeared gel-like which she proceeds to pour a liquid into and mix.\n\nAs shes doing my nails, I noticed that she dips her brush in the powder container (acrylic). Im already agitated at this point and I just let her continue.\n\nI realized later on that many of my nails were not smooth, its as if there were ridges in them.\n\nMy total was $75! Nails were $45 ! Pedicure $25 (French) and the additional $5 was the tip.\n\nFast forward 18 days later, my nails are already breaking and coming off! 😡\n\nWhen I called to inform them, lady asked how many of my nails came off and that theyll redo them. In my opinion, if my nails are falling apart less than 3 weeks after having them done then maam I deserve a new set.\n\nI decided to not bother with them ever again!
