I went to the salon had my face waxed it was a little more painful than normal but I went through it I paid $30 to have my chin my lips and my eyebrows done I got home I was in a little bit pain more than usual and I we I went to the salon had my face waxed it was a little more painful than normal but I went through it I paid $30 to have my chin my lips and my eyebrows done I got home I was in a little bit pain more than usual and I went to bed I woke up the next morning and my mouth my chin and my lips were swollen and so I went back to the salon and showed it to them and they said I am sorry but what did you do to it I said I didnt do anything to it this is what happened when I woke up this morning and they would not take any kind of responsibility for it I am just beside myself. I will no longer be going back to that salon or or suggesting it to any of my friends or family The salon was nails and spa in the Brandywine shopping center in Deland Florida more ... less ...

I went into Volusia Nails in DeLand with a request for a fill-in on using dipping powder when asked the males answers “Yes we do” once I got in the chair my hands were placed in a bowl of remover so strong they tried to cover with a towel but it did little to help the fumes were strong, I should have left then, after 20 minutes of hand soaking the male tells me he does acrylic nails better and I should try, I said ok I’ll try( I believe he knew it was unsafe for us to be inhaling those fumes and really did not want to remove the dip powder) . Usually when you go from one system to another dip to acrylic I have known techs to start with a clean hand meaning off with old on with the new and plastic tips are applied, length check etc . This was not the case for me no plastic tips were applied before he proceeds to put powder on my uneven, still covered in old dipping powder nails. He claimed that if I wanted long nails I would have gotten plastic tips then tells me his service would be $55 bucks! The couple was preparing for a trip so perhaps he was trying to make some extra money however providing inadequate service and hazardous conditions is not the way to do it. 2 pictures below shows the condition of my nails when acrylic powder was being applied, i ended the attempt at service and left. more ... less ...

I am fairly new to the area, and had no go to nail salon. I started with the first nail salon I saw while out shopping one day. I had to go through 2 bad experiences before I found Tony nails. I had to go through 2 bad experiences before I found Tony nails. Unlike the others, they were so friendly, no hour wait.They were excited and confident to do my nails like the picture I picked out from pinterest. ALL the staff were super nice, funny,and inviting. Making me feel very comfortable. It was nice and relaxing, as it should be. Tom took his time and was open to constructive criticism, leaving a open line of communication. Allowing him to sculpt and paint them exactly as I envisioned. I was so impressed and perfectly pleased. Im so happy I have finally found my new Goto nail salon. Im excited to pick my next cool pinterest pin design for the lucky one who gets to do my nails next visit. I Absolutely recommend Tony Nails to everyone. I went in for my first Mani Pedi in a long time. My pedicure was a great experience. She made sure I was relaxed and did a great job on these tired feet. When it came to getting my full set done, with a different tech, I asked for a \"squoval\" shape, she said I should do a coffin shape and I agreed because sometimes change is fun. She asked if I wanted the same color as my toes and I told her no, I wanted a natural looking acrylic set. She said she would \"add a little pink\" and still keep it natural. I was given a very blunt pink tip on a coffin shape nail. They are misshaped, and not what I was looking forward to at all. I never take time for myself and after my husbands convincing, I finally did. Ill be looking for another salon to correct these and give me what I ask for instead of just doing whatever they want and poorly at that. more ... less ...

6 stars. Not only does my tech do a great job, she treats me like a human being. She gets my nails done in a timely manner but does not sacrifice quality to do so. I get my nails done the exact same way for the past 10 years. I’ve lived in multiple states and have tried numerous salons and this set is BY FAR the worst I’ve ever had. Not only did she say she “couldn’t do” what I wanted but they’re also turning colors after just a week. (I don’t smoke and I don’t work with my hands). I usually go to verda nails in orange city and never once have I ever paid more than $60 for this set but I wanted to try this place because it’s closer to home. I even showed them a picture of what I wanted. The nails I got point down tremendously, are completely crooked, the white lines are very jagged and now after a week the white has a pinkish color in it. more ... less ...
