I really want to like Chateau Mar more, I like what the hotel is \" trying\" to accomplish as far as theme and decor go. I guess it just feels like somewhere along the way it loses itself somewhere in-between trying to transport its visitors to the \"I Love Lucy\" era and also stay extremely modern. I had a record player in my room and also 3 Alexa powered devices...of which none worked well. The TV Im guessing due to high usage wouldnt stream any shows and instead of having cable theyve taken the inexpensive route by forcing users to log in to whichever streaming service they may have. The room itself was clean yet with all the tech by the TV at times felt cluttered. I wish there was a little more attention to detail on the 1950s theme and service. This place could be an incredible stay with the right focus and direction. Sometimes less is more. The staff and receptionists were all kind and patient with me when first arriving. There could be a stronger maintenance presence for fixing tech issues as they arise. The grab and go breakfast items (muffin, nutrigrain bar) were helpful but Id like to see more. I would recommend staying here if you come with the right expectations. My suggestions to management : Get some type of basic cable doesnt have to be extravagant just functional! Ditch the Alexa hubs the one in my room didnt work I ended up playing with record player which fits the theme. Some tech is great but make sure it compliments the theme, youve got a great and unique thing going with the theme. more ... less ...
