I am used to having gel removed with acetone, my nails lightly buffed and gel re-applied which keeps my nails healthy. She immediately went in with the Dremel tool and took off the top layer of my nails as well as damaged my cuticles which means I will have to wear gel for at least another 6 months to let my nails grow out. On top of this, she did a terrible job painting my nails. One has top coat streaked on it. Ive never had this at any salon in the 10+ years Ive gone to salons. The polish is over the cuticle beds, polish underneath my nails and on my skin. Every part of the service was bad. I went here because I didnt want to drive 20 minutes to my regular salon and have completely regretted it. The place is always busy so clearly people enjoy it. This used to be my mother & myselfs favorite & only place we would get our manicure and pedicures done. We had been going to the nail bar since 2016. We had been going to the nail bar since 2016. Before covid hit we were going every 2 weeks to get a full acrylic set with SnS manicure & full pedicures. Yesterday I was so excited for our appointment at 10:30 am, because not only was my mom & I going but I had invited my cousin who was loyal to another nail salon to come to Lavish. Thats how much we loved Lavish I was always trying to bring my friends/family. After yesterday I dont think we will ever come back. The nail techs seemed extremely rushed, and the Manager on duty at that time would stand either behind the nails tech back or the customers back. My moms set of acrylic nails with gel polished looks horrible & not even close to what we asked for. The nail tech tried her best but she seemed so rushed that she didnt even paint half of moms nail, and then she had to take off all the color at one point because she forgot to put a base coat for the glitter. Moms nails look extremely lumpy, uneven, and the color isnt the best at all. She even doesnt want anyone to see the nails because of the quality of the work. We always showed off our nails after leaving Lavish, but we couldnt do it this time. I want to make it clear the nail techs are wonderful people, but once the manager would stand behind them you could feel their technique go from good to rushed and messy. I never thought I would walk out of Lavish nail with such a bad experience. more ... less ...
