Find best hair and nail salon in Ottawa , IL

Ive never wrote a review before but I had to this time. A few weeks ago I picked my mother up from a local nursing home there in Marseilles and was taking her back to live with me in WI. and I wanted to treat her to some Ive never wrote a review before but I had to this time. A few weeks ago I picked my mother up from a local nursing home there in Marseilles and was taking her back to live with me in WI. and I wanted to treat her to some special treatment so we went and had her hair cut and when I mentioned having her nails painted the girl at Cost Cutters said to go down the strip there to Lavi Spa. It was closing time but when I explained to the woman who (from my understanding) is the new owner that I just wanted to get my moms nails painted she said \"come on in and we will take care of her\". Well not only did the woman paint my moms nails, but she sat there and took her time listening to my mom repeat herself many times (she has short term memory loss) over and listened. She was absolutely wonderful to my mother!!!! Even though my mom doesnt really remember that day; she sure remembers \"the sweet little woman who painted her nails so pretty\" for her. There are many people in this profession (I know because I regularly get my nails done in WI) that do your nails, take your money and out the door you go. NOT THIS PLACE. I can not say enough for the way this woman treated my mom. She was such a joy. So God Bless this salon and I wish you MUCH success. You deserve it. This is not the best place for coffee or food, but the coffee is better than any other in 2 miles. I live not far from here and go there for coffee first. The cute girls are a bonus. Love Lee nails, they always push my nail beds and cuticles back they never nick me and always do an amazing job!! Very friendly and great service

I went in to have my nails done, the 2 people there clearly have a language barrier, i wont go into detail about how disappointed I am in the shaping. When I clearly stated I did not want coffin and got at least 4 nails I went in to have my nails done, the 2 people there clearly have a language barrier, i wont go into detail about how disappointed I am in the shaping. When I clearly stated I did not want coffin and got at least 4 nails that are shaped as coffin. But more so my design. I asked for a butterfly. And what I got was a tiny little butterfly sicker with plain white space around it. I explained that I did not like it and and she said it was good. I moved on to the gentleman at the front and again explained that I did not like my butterfly. He stated that I picked it. Did I pick a butterfly, yes! I did however I was under the impression that it would be painted. If it had to be a sticker, I would prefer a bigger 1. He again says, u pick it. Clearly he was not understanding so I asked him to take it off. He says no u pick it. Anyways, I left so upset that I hate the butterfly sticker that my child could have placed better. Needless to say I wont be back, and strong recommendation, find someone who speaks English to communicate with the client!!! more ... less ...
