Ive been considering decapitation since it could be only slightly less unseemly than what the \"curly hair specialist\" did to me.\n\nI have very evenly textured 3b hair and got a devacut (I have had 4 before). More hair was cut off than I liked which I would not leave a review for but it is just so uneven. It is incredibly uneven in the front. The back is... OK.\n\nI have one spot on my head where my hair is more curly and would spring up more. I told Jessica this, she told me no worries shes got it. The hair there was cut short enough so some parts of it are wanting to stand at attention. The rest is uneven and she created the harshest angles with my bangs.\n\nIt looked so bad when I left but I paid and tipped and hoped that it was just in need of some styling. Well 3 days and many attempts at trying different styles later I can say without a doubt Ive never hated my hair more.\n\nThe store was clean and the ladies at the cash register were polite. Its gross.\n\nThe weight machines are outdated and randomly spread out in no particular order.\n\nI stopped trying to count the number of machines that are broken or just in dangerous disrepair.\n\nThe lap pool - for a few weeks it was really warm which was different, but we didnt think much about it, until the water became murky and you could see particles floating around. I asked management about it and miraculously the next day the pool was clear but back to the cold water the lap pool normally is. If you need a band-aid or some new fake eyelashes you can get one from the pool floor. The same debris has been there for over a month. Theres dirt all over the floor as well.\n\nFinally, the staff.....they couldnt care less youre there. When we walk in they barely acknowledge us. We also have a Planet Fitness membership and the staff at Planet Fitness is amazing. They greet us with a smile and tell us to have a great workout and say good bye when we leave. They all seem happy to be there and do their best to make you feel welcome and appreciated. Genesis could learn something from them. more ... less ...

I will break this down from 0/10\n10 being service that went above and beyond a 5 being good but not great and 0 being worst service ever\n\nStaff friendliness- 10 (informative, listened, and allowed time for questions)\n\nCleanliness- 10 everything was spotless as a male the mens bathroom was very clean.\n\nMasseuse Pressure- 10 (Pressure will vary to what you can handle BUT they adjusted as needed for my wife. For her Sasha started off gently when she asked for more pressure Sasha listened and found the perfect amount of deep tissue pressure for her) (myself I’m thick, I lift weights and I’m heavy set I told Rosa it was my first massage but would prefer deep tissue pressure. She had me in that incredible kind of pain that is so sweet and relaxing afterward. She also checked in when she found certain spots that I was not in too much pain and that helped a lot.)\n\nLikelihood to come back- 10 (at the end of the session I cried a little. As someone whose lived with some chronic neck and shoulder pain from prior injuries I couldn’t believe it. Near the end I was laying on the table still being massaged and I noticed for the first time in 4 years the pain and tension I had was gone. I’ve been in physical therapy, had cortisone injections, and am currently working with an orthopedic surgeon for my shoulder and neck issues. So to lay there and have NO pain NONE. I cried. When I saw my wife she had a similar experience. We are now members and will always recommend this location and Sasha and Rosa.\n\nThe membership is a good deal and value from my perspective and self care is needed. We are in our upper 20s and I have to say this was eye opening and much needed.\n\nShould you go YES. Do yourself a favor if you’re anxious, suffer from stress, hard labor etc or if you’re like us and are new parents invest in yourself. more ... less ...

I called to try to get it taken care of and they insisted that I come back but when I told them that I was not going to have time to come back that day and have to drive home the next morning before they opened they tried to give me $10 for the inconvenience. I simply said that that wasn’t going to work because it was going to cost at least $40 to get a new pedicure, they argued with me on the phone, raised their voice and was extremely rude. She ended up giving me back $25 which I tipped $20 so was basically pointless. Save your money and go to envy nails, WAY better service and way cheaper. more ... less ...

I absolutely LOVE this salon. I have been getting my nails done on/off for years and have found my hidden gem. I have been coming here for about a year now & never once have I had a bad experience. Honestly, I have a feeling a lot of the negative reviews come from those who either show up super late in the day before they close or just clearly have zero patience. This staff works so so hard for others & deserves nothing less than 5 stars. Give them a chance, have patience & please ensure you the customer give yourself enough time for them to pamper you. The staff was SO friendly, they communicated well and always made me feel welcomed. The service itself was wonderful; extremely relaxing, efficient, and definitely affordable. They were extremely welcoming which you don’t always get as a “walk-in”.\nI had a slightly better than average pedicure but what will keep me going back again, and I will, is the environment, They were extremely helpful and very transparent about pricing. No pushy up-sells. They were very technically up to date and the warm & welcoming. Then only thing I can think of that would have made the experience slightly better, and I don’t think you will find this anywhere, is if they had limited all communication to English amongst employees. Gel pedicure. I picked out an hot pink color gel polish. Color was very dull for get. Needed 3 coats and it the color was still dull. The owner said that it was a color he created himself. This place does decent nails - but they charge twice the price vs other nail salons. They nickel and dime for everything. Also, even though my pedicure only included my feet (had leggings on I couldn’t roll up), they charged full price for a pedicure which was $30 and $10 removal of gel. That $30 included regular polish, not gel. Gel polish on the feet was an extra $30. All they care about is making money - $000 customer service skills and they don’t care about making it enjoyable. They also charge $3 for some covid related thing??? I mean come on. Please don’t waste your money here. I haven’t been back for over a year (?) to this place…I’m always reminded why.
