I was disappointed with my experience at V & V Nails Design. I attended the nail salon about ten days ago for my birthday to get a gel manicure and a pedicure. I actually do my own gel nails, but I wanted to treat myself on my birthday. My friend and I sat down for the pedicure first. They convinced my friend to choose a $50 option for a pedicure, and I tried to choose a $40 option for myself but they insisted that I do the $50 one with gel. I told them three times that I did NOT want gel on my toes, just a regular pedicure (spoiler alert: the pedicure REGULAR nail polish is lasting longer than the gel on my nails). Pedicure experience was fine. Nail polish is still in tact.\n\nWhat I have a problem with is my gel manicure. Its been about ten days since I went to the salon and almost every single one of my gel nails is already chipped, and the edges of the gel were painted over my cuticles and look messy. The worst part though about this gel manicure was that I had originally asked for plastic little bows on my nails, just like one i had seen in a photo they offered on their website. The woman glued bows on top of the gel, and I knew as she was putting the glue on that it would definitely not adhere to the finished gel surface of the nail. Both bows fell off and peeled the polish off with them within about 6 hours of me getting the nails done, and one of the bows even snapped in half so there was no way of myself just re-gluing them. As I previously stated, I have a gel lamp at home so I was able to just redo the nails where the gel was peeled off, but in my opinion if I am getting my nails done at a salon I should not have a gel manicure peeling within 10 days of getting them done, and also having to completely redo some of the nails myself. I would not go back to this salon again and this was an incredibly disappointing experience.
