Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference! Hope this review and feedback gets some attention. I was highly recommended to Invidia; so I made two massage appointments (for myself and for my mother in law). We arrived, were greeted and escorted to the tranquility room to wait. We discovered that we were booked with a male therapist and while I dont have a strong preference, my mother in law had never gotten a massage by a male therapist so she asked if she could get a female therapist. We were informed that the spa is booked and he is the only one.\n\nWe waited for about 5-10 minutes and Jasmin came to see us and reiterated the above. She stated that they are a gender neutral business and dont feel that this is something they need to state or share in advance. They would only accommodate the clients preference upon the clients request. To my surprise, I explained that in my experience having been to spas in the area and internationally, most spas do ask or at least make the client aware that they have therapists that are male and female. Generally speaking, that awareness and transparency triggers the client to request their preference. I went on to state that we are really bummed because I drove 40 minutes for this appointment and would hate to be disappointed when we planned our afternoon to get massage done.\n\nJasmin tried to offer a solution but could only offer us a facial service for my mother in law, which we politely declined.\n\nI am sure it takes a lot of hard work for any business to create a name for themselves and a reputation but Jasmins way of addressing the situation was belittling to say the least. I perceived her manner of explanation to be condescending. When she said that we love in a word of gender neutrality and we should embrace the current environment and that she will inform Joseph of our selection she almost implied that I am a closed minded person and I am the one who is not in tune with the world.\n\nMy only feedback to her was to take this back to her staff and add this question when her staff is scheduling appointments in the future and instead of just accepting the constructive feedback, she went on to tell me how reputable they are and how long they have been around and in business.\n\nSorry Sudbury. I have a lot of good things to say about you except for Invidia.
