The last time I went to Essieâs was my second visit to the salon and they did not disappoint. I went early in the morning on a week day so they werenât particularly busy but they were as attentive as I felt they were during my first visit when I went on a Sunday. I got a spa pedicure with jelly add-on. I still have no idea what the jelly add in was BUT I enjoyed it thoroughly. Itâs like this gel like substance they use in the water instead of just the usual water and soap crystals you soak your feet in during a pedicure, it definitely made my legs feel a little softer than usual so it was worth the $5 up charge. I also got a simple gel manicure and gel pedicure. Their was a bit of a language barrier with the staff but nothing out of the ordinary and nothing that Google translate couldnât solve. The management was on the premises and SUPER attentive. I was frequently asked how everything was going and if I needed anything like a bottle of water. I absolutely like be the private area that the spa pedicures are done in. The only downsides for my last experience was not being able to get a quick wax as the machines hadnât been turned on and I didnât have time to wait, and the fact that, while the shop is Black owned it is not so much Black operated BUT this is comparable to any other nail shop Iâve been to in the NJ, Essex county area. Oh and they donât have the massage chairs that you usually find in shops but they way I was treated made up for it. So overall a great experience, super attentive staff, I got what I wanted and a little bit more, and I will definitely be back. NOTE: It is cash only so be prepared for that.
