His numbing procedure is the easiest and painless I have ever experienced and I have VAST experience with local anesthetics in my mouth! He is compassionate, kind, gentle and patient. He doesn’t hurry, you never feel like he is rushing but he is organized and efficient and is done in no time. I have been a patient of this practice for many years. And I am so thankful for that because it must be the best dental practice around (I can’t qualify that because I haven’t actually been to another dental practice to compare, but they can’t get any better than Dr Schmidt and his wonderful staff more ... less ...

They did a great job on my nails but sanitation was horrible I didnt see them clean or sanitize anything they used on me. They also dont wash their hands between clients. I show up and tell them I have an appointment they dont even ask for my name or time and I end up waiting forever. I seen this happen with other women as well when they came in. So it doesnt look like they go by appointment so not sure why they act like they do. Great potential but really not organized and Def dont depend on this place if you have plans just bc they dont honor their appointments. more ... less ...

After moving to the area, I decided to try Special Nails after seeing the great reviews. I called and made an appointment to get my SNS redone on my real nails. I called and made an appointment to get my SNS redone on my real nails. First, they made me soak my nails in acetone and warm water for over 25 minutes. My nails started to BURN and became raw because of the chemicals in the acetone. I tried taking my nails out but had them placed back in even though all of the polish was off and had been off for awhile. Then I got moved around to accommodate for someone else who had come in after me with no appointment. The young lady doing my nails cut THREE of my fingers and continued to file my nails on the open bleeding sores… there was blood on the file because I was bleeding that much. I was in so much pain and have never experienced this kind of treatment at a nail salon in my life. On top of all of this, the lady filed my nails so hard that she quite literally stripped the dip powder off of 3 of my nails… they all had to be done again. 2 hours later and my nails/fingers are in pain and the nails look sloppy and crooked. Please NEVER go here, one of my fingers has become infected from the filing on my bleeding sore and my fingers still hurt and it’s been nearly a week later. I promise anyone else in the area can do a better job than the treatment I received at Special Nails. Also, I see the owners tend to respond to negative posts but please do not bother responding to this because I will not call your store and give you the opportunity to fix this.
