I had my nails done with dip powder last Tuesday. it has been less than a week. For reference, a dip powder usually last between three and four weeks for me. I usually have to take it off because its so outgrown, but not because anything is chipped or broken. When I went in to the salon there was only one employee working and there was one other person having her nails done. The employee had me sit down and I had to wait quite some time which is fine, but then she was switching back and forth between me and the other client to get our nails done. She was not washing her hands between clients, either. This resulted in a service that usually takes about 30 minutes to take an hour and 15 minutes. The next day one of the nails chipped. I went back on Friday and had it fixed and it I had to wait spending an hour in the salon. Over the weekend one of my nails chipped again and another nail cracked. Typically when I have a dip powder manicure it costs between $35 and $40. This service cost $50 and I gave a $5 tip. I would expect much greater quality with the amount of money that I spent. I also was confused on why I was charged so much as the price listing had a lesser amount than what I was charged. I went back today to try to remedy the situation. The salon was full and it did not look like I was going to be able to have the chipped and broken nails fixed at that time. I asked the lady if I could just get my money back and that I did not want to have my nails fixed. She said that she could give me half of my money back. At that time another employee came up and asked me what the issue was. I told her what happened and she said well I can fix it for you. I told her I dont want it fixed, I dont have time to wait, Ive already spent two hours in the salon I would just like my money back and half of my money back would be fine. She said no we cant give you your money back, we do not do that. I wont come back.
