Find best hair and nail salon in Santa Fe , NM

Styled my hair before I went there so stylist could see how I wore my hair. Tried to talk with him (Mario) before he washed my hair, but he rushed me to the washing station. Went back to the styling chair and asked if he could dry it first before cutting to see how it lays, and he said no we only had 45 mins. I told him I wanted it shortened up and layers brought back together, and I didnt like seeing the unblended, defined layers in back. I asked him if he had any ideas about how to style it and he said no, he relied on what his clients told him. I told him I liked fullness around the crown because I have an oblong face which means it is narrow on top. I tried to start a conversation with him and I asked if he was from Santa Fe, and he just said \"No.\" Pretty clearly he didnt want to talk. I showed him a photo on my phone of how I wear my hair. He cut my hair and showed it to me and I told him I wanted the heaviness taken out of the back so it was more tapered up, and he said \"Well, you said you didnt want layers so if you want this shortened I will have to put layers in.\" I responded that I didnt want the visible, defined layers but that I wanted the bulk taken out of the bottom. He said that my hair was already pretty dry so he couldnt do too much and he was obviously not pleased, but he did do that and showed it to me. When ge dried my hair, he did not use a roller brush at all nor did he curl it. He rubbed texturing powder in and basically left me looking ridiculous. He said he didnt know what to do because he didnt know how I styled my hair. Say what?? I was going to ask him if he had a problem with me for some reason when I checked out, but he had walked away and had someone else check me out. I did call and leave a voice mail outlining my dissatisfaction (I did leave a 15% tip which I know is low but I was damned if I would leave more). Cannot recommend this place enough! Affordable services, and incredible staff.\nMy mom, sister and I came to Santa fe for a weekend getaway and they were able to get us all in for massages and facials the very next day. The massage was perfect to soothe our pains and relax our bodies and the facial made my face look and feel so good that I bought all the products which smell incredible. The Art Affair is an adorable studio with two cute shiatsu dogs who serve to meet and greet the guests. Arta, the owner and manicurist, does a tremendous job and is both hospitable and professional. I called Serenity a few days ago and was told there were no appointments for a very long time, but, they do have a cancellations list! So, I added my name to the list and got a call today to come in at 2:15 PM for a bas I called Serenity a few days ago and was told there were no appointments for a very long time, but, they do have a cancellations list! So, I added my name to the list and got a call today to come in at 2:15 PM for a basic pedicure. It was the BEST pedicure Ive ever had. I arrived 15 minutes early, was escorted to the pedicure chair right at 2:15 PM and I was out of there in 45 minutes. It was clean, efficient, relaxing and my nail technician, John, was an excellent conversationalist on top of giving me one of the best looking/feeling and pain-free pedicures Ive ever had. I have now booked recurring monthly appointments and couldnt be happier. Totally recommend this nail salon! more ... less ...

She said I had tips I do not, I have forms and its my natural nail underneath. Limited selection for gel and asked for coffin shape which seemed OK in the store once I got home it looked like basic nail shape.\n\nLess than 2 weeks I broke 2 more. My last set of nails lasted 2 months. Spoke to the lady who did my nails and she would only fix my nail on one specific day that I had to work so unfortunately I couldnt make it. Also was told I abuse my nails, Ive had acrylics for over a year I know how to use my hands and not damage my nails. Dont take new clients if you dont care.
